Our Centre Mission & Values
We value each child as a confident and capable learner, where their own unique personalities and capabilities shape their immediate environment and the world around them. We believe in fostering and scaffolding this learning to ensure their early year education, sets their foundation for learning in their adult years.
We value the first 5 years of each child’s life as their formative years to build the foundation for their future development. As ECE providers we are fortunate to have the opportunity to build the foundations of strong brains through meaningful and holistic play based learning, in order to promote a lifelong love of learning.
We acknowledge and respect the diversity and history of the land on which we operate and throughout our community, that of the Traditional Owners, Guringai country.
At Terrey Hills Early Learning Centre, we aim to provide a unique and caring environment, with a holistic approach where each child and their family feels welcome and secure and where diversity is accepted, recognised and valued. Our mission is to foster within each child, a self awareness and acceptance of others, developing respect for those who may be different from themselves relating to lifestyle, abilities and culture.
We believe and practice the notion that parents are a child’s first educators in life and we are committed to working collaboratively with families to develop shared goals and expectations for each child where connecting links with the family and the wider world are at the forefront of our educational approach.
